About
It all begins with an idea.
Hi there! My name is Joey Shaughnessy and I am a Lead Industrial Designer based in the Seattle area. While working in this role, I helped improve existing designs and also took the lead in designing new and innovative products. I have always had a passion for problem-solving and finding creative solutions to complex challenges, which is what drew me to the field of industrial design.
My experience in design primarily involves creating 3D models and 2D drawings for stainless steel products using Solidworks software. Nevertheless, I am eager to expand my skill set by working with various materials and learning new CAD software. Designing extraction equipment is just the starting point of my journey as an Industrial Designer.
I have a proven track record of delivering a constant flow of novel innovations, leveraging virtual teams across the globe. Furthermore, I possess strong conceptualization, iteration, and analytical/problem-solving skills, which allow me to create multiple product concepts and storytelling assets to communicate new ideas effectively.
Overall, I am someone who is passionate about design, the outdoors, and thinking outside the box when a challenge comes my way. Whether it's designing a new product, tending to my garden, or exploring a new hiking trail, I am always up for a good challenge and excited to see where it takes me.
